THE EVENT
Aesthetic Medicine, born as a response to the increasing demand for prevention and treatment of skin blemishes, which inevitably cause psychological discomfort even when minimal, has finally found its identity within the panorama of various medical disciplines. Today, in fact, Aesthetic Medicine is widely recognized as a branch of Internal Medicine that, often starting from a skin blemish, broadens its preventive or therapeutic objectives, encompassing people's overall health at 360 degrees.
In this scenario, almost unconsciously, Aesthetic Medicine has begun to share the objectives of Integrative Medicine: to allow everyone to achieve or recover a global condition of optimal well-being, even when lost due to a simple skin imperfection.
Based on these assumptions, the International Congress of Integrative Medicine (CIMI), in its CIMI IN TOUR-LIMITED EDITION version, after the recent success in Brazil ("Back to the future", Uberlandia, 19 and 20 November 2022), arrives in Italy, on 16 and 17 September 2023, for the key event "Integrative Medicine and Aesthetic Medicine. Filling the gap”.
The purpose of the congress is to open a dialogue window between those doctors and those dentists who, carrying out their activity in the field of aesthetic medicine, on the one hand, and of integrative medicine, on the other, in fact, do not always have the concrete possibility of exchanging their personal experiences, thus losing extraordinary opportunities for mutual enrichment.
Just to fill this gap, “Integrative Medicine and Aesthetic Medicine. Filling the gap.” intends to solicit a serious debate, based on evidence-based medicine, so that doctors and dentists, reflecting on the uniqueness of the human being, can offer, through common paths, "new personalized and sustainable opportunities for health, well-being and happiness" (CIMI, Uberlândia, 2019).
In compliance with these objectives, the non-secondary purpose of the congress is to strengthen cultural relations between Italy, Brazil and Japan, in continuity with the very recent event "Applications of ancient medicine, energy medicine, integrative medicine in the present world", organized by our staff and held on 21 June 2023 in Tokyo.
Italy, Brazil and Japan are countries bound together by now centuries-old ties of friendship. Even before the unification of Italy, it was an Italian duchy, the Duchy of Parma, that recognized the independence of Brazil in 1826, just 4 years after its separation from Portugal. Bilateral relations between Japan and Italy formally began a few decades later (on August 25, 1866), but the first contacts between the two countries date back at least to the 16th century, when the first Japanese mission to Europe arrived in Rome in 1585 led by Itō Mancio.
According to recent estimates, around 31 million Brazilians claimed to have Italian ancestry (about 15% of the population). This data places the current Italian-Brazilian population, with the resident in São Paulo at the top, as the most numerous in the world among those of Italian origin. Different, but no less important, in proportion, the data relating to the relationship between Italy and Japan, with twice as many Japanese residing in Italy as compared to Italians residing in Japan (2016-2017 data).
Beyond these numbers, over time, the bonds of friendship between these 3 great countries have strengthened thanks not only to the progress of cultural exchanges but also to the ever-widening opening of commercial channels, where the "made in Italy" has undoubtedly played a cementing role. Today, Italy, Brazil and Japan are in healthy competition for the development of wellness services and products that cover areas common to aesthetic medicine and integrative medicine, such as cosmetics, nutraceuticals, electromedicine, and cutting-edge molecular diagnostics. On this basis, “Integrative Medicine and Aesthetic Medicine. Filling the gap.” intends to offer participants a broad showcase on the most up-to-date solutions, in the preventive, therapeutic and diagnostic fields, which these 3 large countries offer today to doctors and dentists, to reduce the gap between aesthetic medicine and integrative medicine, all in favor of the well-being of the person in his uniqueness.
And to enhance and exalt this common priceless heritage of values, mixed with friendship and sympathy, we could only choose the heart of the Eternal City: ROME!
Location
The Congress “Integrative Medicine and Aesthetic Medicine. Filling the gap.” it will take place on 16 and 17 September 2023 in Rome, Italy, in the halls of the NH HOTEL ROMA CENTRO, Via dei Gracchi 324. Large and comfortable rooms, excellent cuisine. A location in the heart of ROME, a few hundred meters from the fascinating structures that make the Italian capital famous throughout the world: Vatican, Castel Sant'Angelo, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, etc. In any case, just 200 meters from the Hotel, it is possible to access the LEPANTO station which allows you to enter, via line A, the reliable city metropolitan service. The Roman underground network connects the whole city, including the main railway station, ROMA TERMINI. You can reach the famous Colosseum, the VATICAN MUSEUMS, the PANTHEON, the ROMAN FORUM and much more in journeys not exceeding 30 minutes.
LOCATION
The ROMA TERMINI station, in turn, is connected to the terminal of the ROMA FIUMICINO intercontinental airport through the LEONARDO EXPRESS shuttle system (journey time 32 minutes). From ROME FIUMICINO airport (or from CIAMPINO airport) you can reach all the main Italian cities, with average journey times around 60 minutes.
Furthermore, the ROMA TERMINI station is conveniently connected through the HIGH SPEED railway system (managed by the carriers TRENITALIA and ITALO) with all the main Italian cities (with speeds of up to 300 km/hour): NAPLES (1h), FLORENCE (1h 30 min), MILAN (3h), and VENICE (4h); all the comfortable and safe trains of the HIGH SPEED railway system have an excellent on-board refreshment service. From NAPLES, in particular, you can reach the archaeological city of POMPEI (which came to light thanks to the excavations, after having been completely buried by the eruption of the Vesuvius volcano, in 79 after Christ), Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano, and the island of Capri (famous, among other things, for the FARAGLIONI and the BLUE GROTTO).
Finally, from the ROMA TERMINI station you can reach the main ports (CIVITAVECCHIA and NAPLES) for embarkation towards Italian coastal and island areas (Capri, Sicily, Sardinia).
HOW TO REACH THE CONGRESS VENUE THROUGH PUBLIC TRANSPORT
For public transport, the point of reference is the main railway station of ROME, in the heart of the city, ROMA TERMINI, from which trains leave for all Italian destinations. From the underground floors of the station you can access the two underground lines A and B, which connect almost all the districts of the city. To reach the congress venue, choose line A, DIRECTION BATTISTINI, and GET OFF AT THE FIFTH STOP, “LEPANTO”; the NH hotel is only 200 meters away. Alternatively, from the square in front of the TERMINI railway station you can choose the urban taxi service. ROME does not have an efficient UBER system but offers a series of alternative services, including CAR SHARING and RENT A CAR (if you have a driving license recognized by the Italian authorities).
If you arrive in ROME by landing at the ROME FIUMICINO international airport, we suggest that you go to the railway terminal of the airport itself (on foot, using a system of moving walkways) and choose the LEONARDO EXPRESS train among the various options. In just 32 minutes, with a cost of 14 euros per person, without intermediate stops, you can easily reach the central railway station of ROME, ROMA TERMINI.
SPEAKERS
CIMI speakers were carefully selected from a list of Italian, Brazilian and Japanese candidates, for their recognized and documented professional value in the area of aesthetic medicine and integrative medicine. Everyone will make their contribution not only by providing the state of the art, but also outlining perspectives for the future from a multidisciplinary perspective. The reports will be interspersed with two round tables, which will expand the audience of speakers and enrich the content under discussion.

The congress is intended for doctors and dentists. However, other professionals working in the field of aesthetic medicine and integrative medicine can participate, upon request and with the prior authorization of the organizers.
The official language is English. There is no translation service.
The program will be divided into two main moments. The first moment, more strictly academic, will take place on Saturday 16 September 2023 and will last the whole day. To streamline the development of the work and encourage compliance of the participants, the reports will alternate with two round tables. The second moment, more practical, will take place on Sunday 17, from 9 to 13; we have carefully selected 8 companies that will be invited to present their services/products in as many interventions, each lasting 30 minutes.

Foreign citizens (Brazilian and Japanese) who will participate in any form in the event and who do not plan to stay in Italy for more than 90 days do not need any particular visa. In the event of health problems during their stay in Italy, they can take advantage of urgent and elective health services upon payment of the relative regional tariffs.
